HOW TO CHOOSE A LUGGAGE?

Here are some tips from our product manager Andrius, what you should to consider when buying a luggage. Please read, choose and enjoy your trip!

  • MATERIAL. HOW IMPORTANT IS IT?

Due to different quality and price desires of consumers. The general trend - the suitcase must be both durable (not hard) and lightweight. Generally, a luggage is made of polypropylene or polycarbonate.

Polypropylene:
Polycarbonate:
 ABS-plastic:
The material is impact resistant and does not break. But it will give the heavier weight for the luggage. Extremely strong material, polycarbonate is even used in car bumper production. At the same time this material is also lightweight and makes traveling comfortable. Due to these reasons, this category of bags are the most reliable.
The usage of plastic when manufacturing of luggage, is the most common. Unfortunately, plastic cases are quite heavy and break much easier than the aforementioned materials. You need to be careful, as the empty luggage can break even when you will place a hard item into it

  • WARRANTY. WHY?

If you want your bag for the long haul, certainly check the warranty. Is there any warranty on the product? How long? Do all parts? In terms of color, our product manager recommends classic black as dirt is hardly noticeable.

  • WHEELS. HOW MANY 2 OR 4?

We reccomend a four-wheeler, also known as spinners because each wheel swivels 360 degrees, as on a shopping cart. You can push them, pull them, wheel them alongside yourself, and turn them in any direction. Easier to navigate in tight spaces. A heavy or large suitcase may be easier to manage with four wheels. Ergonomically, the spinner is a better choice than the roller because it does not put stress on your shoulder.

  • SIZE. WHAT SIZE TO CHOOSE?

This will depend mainly on the length of your trip and, if you are flying, airline luggage restrictions. It also depends on your own habits. Some people can pack for two weeks in their carry-on and an underseat personal item. In the case of hand luggage, be sure to observe the measurement given by the airline to avoid wasting time at the airport and getting into an uncomfortable situation. For longer trips, we recommend using medium or maximum sized suitcases. When packing your luggage, make sure that the suitcase is not too heavy. There’s usually a weight limit, with extra fees applied for excess weight per bag.

  • SECURITY

Worried about keeping your valuables safe when you're abroad? Keep your valuables under lock and key with a TSA lock for your suitcase. „Transport Security Administration“ (TSA) basically means if airport security needs to inspect your luggage, they won’t need to break your favourite wheelie suitcase open in the process, as TSA locks can be opened by security personnel with no damage to the lock or your travel bags. This value twin-pack of two means double the security without too much damage to your holiday budget either. The TSA you will recognize thanks to its special diamond label.
